Editorial mission
JobOrbit exists to make global opportunity legible. Our editorial content — job guides, country pages, category explainers and career articles — is written to give job seekers the honest, specific detail they need to make a decision: what the role pays, what the interview looks like, what the visa route actually involves.
We write for readers, not algorithms. When we have to choose between a clean marketing sentence and something that will genuinely help a reader, we choose the reader.
Who writes and reviews
Our editorial team is made up of career-focused writers, regional editors and subject specialists in fields including technology, healthcare, finance, education and creative industries. Every article is written by a named writer (attribution appearing on the article) and reviewed by a second editor before publication.
Where a piece covers a specialised topic — for example immigration routes, executive pay or a specific regulated profession — we work with an external contributor who has practical experience in that field.
Sourcing standards
- We prefer primary sources: official statistics, government pages, employer submissions and interviews with people currently doing the role.
- Where we cite salary or market data, we link to the source or name the report and its year.
- Numbers older than 24 months are flagged in the text and refreshed at the next review cycle.
- Direct quotes are approved by the person who said them before publication.
Use of AI tools
We use AI tools to help our editors — for example to summarise research, generate first-draft outlines and check for repetition. AI is never the sole author of a published JobOrbit page. Every page is written, edited and signed off by a human before it goes live.
Updates & freshness
Job market and visa information ages quickly. We schedule reviews of each guide at least every 12 months, and sooner for high-traffic pages or countries where the rules change frequently. When a page is materially updated, we refresh the "last updated" date in the header and, for significant changes, add an update note explaining what changed.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we want to know. Email editors@joborbit.com with the URL and the correction. Verified errors are corrected promptly, and material corrections are noted at the bottom of the affected page.
Editorial independence
Editorial decisions on JobOrbit are made independently from advertising and commercial partnerships. Our editors do not know in advance which advertisers are active in any given week, and advertisers cannot pay to change coverage or improve search rankings.
Sponsored articles and paid partnerships are labelled unambiguously and follow the same fact-checking standards as our editorial content.
Diversity & inclusion
We write for a global audience, in English but not from a single-country perspective. We commission writers from different regions and backgrounds and review content for language that unintentionally excludes readers based on gender, ethnicity, age, disability, sexuality or immigration status.
