Building JobOrbit for as many people as possible.

Accessibility is a first-class product concern at JobOrbit, not a checklist we run at the end. Every new feature is reviewed against our accessibility guidelines before it ships, and we track accessibility bugs alongside the rest of our engineering work.

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Our design system, component library and content templates are built with these guidelines in mind.

• Keyboard-navigable menus, filters and job cards.
• Semantic HTML landmarks so screen readers can jump between sections.
• Colour contrast tested against WCAG AA thresholds.
• Descriptive alt text on meaningful imagery, empty alt on decorative imagery.
• Focus rings that are always visible and never hidden by CSS.
• Reduced-motion support for readers who prefer less animation.
• Form fields with associated labels and clear error messages.

No site is ever perfectly accessible, and we know we still have work to do — in particular around long-form data tables, some legacy blog content, and third-party widgets we do not control (for example some embedded videos and advertising units). We prioritise these issues based on impact and how many people they affect.
